What are the rock schools about?

 

An opportunity to learn a selection of rock & pop songs in small groups and rehearse them in an ensemble environment and then to perform them for parents at the end of each day.

Open to ages 8 to 16. Not suitable for complete beginners as a knowledge of their instrument will be required and the sessions focus more on performance. Instruments available are guitar, drums, keyboards and bass.

Participants will be required to book in and play the specific instrument that they are learning.

 

Where and when are they being held?

 

Rock School #1 - St Peter's Primary Academy, Market Bosworth, CV13 0NP

1st & 2nd august 2024, 9.00am to 3.00pm

 

Rock School #2 - Stafford Leys Primary School, Leicester Forest East, LE3 3L J

7th & 8th august 2024, 9.00am to 3.00pm

 

Rock School #3 - St Peter's Primary Academy, Market Bosworth, CV13 0NP

15th & 16th august 2024, 9.00am to 3.00pm

 

What is the cost?

 

Book Day 1 at £60 and get Day 2 for just £30. Day 1 and Day 2 can be at different venues.

Sibling discounts are available, please ask.

Each day’s learning is stand-alone, so single days can be booked, but not half days.

Discounts cannot be shared between families.

A 50% deposit is required at time of booking. If sessions are cancelled due to low take-up, deposits will be refunded.

 

Good to know

 

Participants must bring their own lunch and lunchtime drinks. A soft drink will be provided during a short break in the morning and in the afternoon each day.

Own guitars, basses (provided you can tune them!) and drum sticks can be used, but please no amplifiers or electrical devices.

Learners will not be allowed to leave the premises during lunch time unless written permission is given by the parent/guardian at morning registration.
