JAM Music Sessions Give So Much More!

Music Sessions/Lessons

jam-music-schools-leicestershire.jpgMusic Lessons should be FUN!

Music Lessons should INSPIRE!

Music Lessons should BUILD CONFIDENCE!

At JAM our lessons are all these things and MORE!

We have found in over ten years of professional music teaching that many people – children and adults alike - respond more positively and therefore acquire musical instrument skills quicker, in a more relaxed and fun environment than perhaps traditional music lessons offer.

The people we teach are inspired by our team of young, well qualified and highly skilled tutors, who, as well as being DBS checked, are all very, very COOOOL!

Alongside learning instrument skills, a particular focus of our Saturday and Tuesday Sessions is about joining in and ‘having a go’ and when you feel ready, there is the option to perform with other learners in a LIVE performance at one of our regular gigs – a great boost for self-confidence!

Our Saturday and Tuesday Sessions can accommodate both children and adults (in separate sessions), in fact, we teach anyone from age 6 to 106!

The Saturday (Daytime) & Tuesday (Evening) Sessions

  • Learn to play Guitar, Bass, Drums or Keyboards in Rock Music Style

JAM Music Lessons the smaller print

To learn to play a musical instrument successfully, students need to be comfortable in the learning environment, happy with the method of learning, understand their expected goals and have a rapport with the people instructing them.

Our ethos is transparency, enjoyment and having fun! We have very enthusiastic teaching staff who teach by showing coupled with positive encouragement.

At JAM we have deliberately chosen to provide lessons in popular music instruments - guitar, bass, drums, singing and keyboards in a modern pop and rock music style.

Our learning is song-based with an eye on the discipline of performing with other people, while at the same time making in-roads on various musical notation. At the appropriate point in the learning program we offer the option to study for independently examined "Rockschool" grades which, above level 5 carry UCAS points, which may help with university entry.

In addition to our young learners becoming competent in their chosen instrument, we aim to build confidence too. our Saturday Sessions provide not only tuition, but also the opportunity to take pat in live JAM sessions and in several concerts staged throughout the year. our Rock School's follow similar principles and take place several times each year at various venues during school holidays.
